Bethany Woodcock: Community

Hi! I’m Bethany, your Community Officer for 2019/20. I’m just completed the Enterprise Placement Year for my Graphic Design & Animation degree. I love to get involved in as many different things as possible!

Being involved in community projects my whole life, from helping out at local co-operatives to completing the NCS program, speaking at conferences to running a society, I know how important it is to get involved and make a difference. This year I’m working on a variety of varied projects and I always appreciate input or feedback.

It’s important that students don’t just feel like they’re in a community, but of that community too. If there’s anything you need help or advice with, or even if you just want a chat, please contact me!

My Objectives

Improving sustainability on campus:

  • Helping to update our sustainability policy
  • Working with the University team to improve practice on campus

Working closely with Hudlets:

  • Sitting on the Hudlets Board representing students
  • Listening to feedback and making improvements

Keeping mental health in mind throughout all of my work this year, including:

  • Halls projects
  • Commuter Student projects
