There are loads of great cycle routes into the Union with minimal traffic and some great scenery to boot!
Huddersfield Active Travel have put together a handy set of route cards to guide you to the Uni from various points around Huddersfield including Storthes Hall, Linthwaite, Ashenhurst and more which you can find here.

When you arrive, you’ll find plenty of places to park your bike including double-storey enclosed cycle shelters with multiple locking points so you can store your bike safely and securely.
Huddersfield is extremely well connected, with multiple bus routes to and from all nearby towns/cities. Some of the main services are as follows:

When you arrive in Huddersfield, the FreeTownBus serves all of the town’s key locations (including the University) and runs approximately every ten minutes.
Train services in the area are also excellent, with Huddersfield station providing links to a large majority of the UK’s major towns and cities.
