So, you’ve registered to vote - now comes the important bit…
We're trying to make it super easy for you to find the time to vote in the general election on Thursday 12 December. National politics hasn’t quite caught up with us at the Students’ Union just yet, which means that you have to vote in person. You should have received a polling card in the post, telling you where you need to go to cast your vote. If you have lost your card, or it hasn’t arrived just yet, you can also find out using this link.
Lots of you who are based in Huddersfield may even be voting in a number of polling stations which are just a short walk away from campus. With that in mind, at lunchtime on Thursday 12 December (12.30pm – 1.30pm), we 'll be leading a number of small groups in a walk up to their polling station, so that you can find out where it is if you are unsure and hopefully get chatting to some others along the way, sharing your democracy journey!
Look out on our social media pages for our interactive poll checker and tick the box for your polling station. Whichever the top four polling stations are, we will be leading groups of students over.
If walking to your polling station may be difficult for you, please also let us know, and we will see how we can help you to cast your vote on the day.
Please take the time to #VoteForYourFuture on Thursday 12 December, and Vote with Us.
