The highly anticipated evening marked the conclusion of a very exciting Elections period and celebrated the hard work that all candidates and their campaigners put in over the course of the Election process.

This year 2,918 of you voted. That’s just over 17% of all students, with the Business School having the highest turnout (again!). Want to find out if you made it into any of our Elections coverage? Or perhaps you didn’t make it onto campus this week and want to see what all the fuss was about? Check out the Facebook photos

Your new Officer Team, complete with lots of new faces, are ready to stand for all the things you want at University. The new team will start in June. Until then your current 2018-19 Officer Team will remain in place; ready, willing and able to help you!

We also announced the newly elected NUS Delegates last night, Emmanuel Haruna, Jake Rodgers, Desiree Shaw and Bethany Woodcock will be attending the NUS Conference later this Academic year to represent all Huddersfield Students!

We’d like to thank all candidates and campaigners for taking part in the Elections; it was a fun-filled few days! We're looking forward to working with the 2019-20 Officer Team to continue to make student life better for all of you.
If you do have any questions about the Officers, their positions or anything Elections related, then please get in touch with the Deputy Returning Officer, Lydia Blundell, via
