University of Huddersfield Students' Union – Lay Trustee

Three Years, renewable for a further three years.

The University of Huddersfield is one of the fastest growing new Universities in the UK and the Students’ Union is here to enhance the student experience, offering a range of support, recreational, representational and sporting opportunities to the students of the University.

We are looking to recruit a new member to the Board of Trustees, to take joint responsibility for the overall governance and strategic direction of the Union. We need someone to help shape the Union’s aims, objectives and goals in accordance with the governing documents, legal and regulatory guidelines.

Trustees attend four formal meetings a year, as well as other events that support the Union, and are expected to contribute meaningfully and in an informed way to the strategic management of the organisation.

We are particularly interested in people with expertise in management, finance, human resources, law, and/or strategic planning.
