We believe that our coming together will enhance good relationship with our host community and other societies within the Student Union. Our objectives include the following; Organise fun-filled educational and social activities, See to the Welfare of members , Assist incoming Nigeria students settle into the University community and the UK society, Build strong network with past students, Encourage friendship with people and students from other parts of the world, Publicize and promote the University of Huddersfield in and outside Nigeria.

What do we hope to do this year?

In the coming session 2011/2012, we hope to make a trip to Spain as part of our "MAXIMIZING YOUR INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE" project. The society will also in a grand style celebrate Nigeria independence day alongside her formal inauguration event in October this year. The Nigerian Student Society is not only for Nigerians and therefore we welcome everyone from around the world who is interested in getting to know more about our beautiful culture, languages and meals. We do hope that you will find it useful and interesting to be part of this great, viable and thriving society and so look forward to welcoming you in our meetings and events."
