► Care 2 Listen

Interested in volunteering with vulnerable young people? Care 2 Listen is a group which is part of Kirklees Council arranging opportunities for people to be 'independent visitors' - this is someone who volunteers to spend an hour or so a month with a 'looked after young person', taking part in shared activities with them. Attached is a leaflet explaining more about the scheme.

Care 2 Listen are currently recruiting new volunteers. The closing date for applications is 11 February 2011, so contact them as soon as possible if you're interested in getting involved. There's also an open day on Saturday 15 January 2011 between 10.30am and 12pm at Kirklees Children's Rights Service, 2nd Floor, Brian Jackson House, New North Parade, Huddersfield.
