► The University of Huddersfield Rugby Union Football Club

We are always looking for new players - those who have played at a high level or people who have never played before.

We had a highly successful 10/11 season, gaining promotion, winning various sevens tournaments, winning the Varsity cup over Bradford and becoming European Champions at the SportsVest Tour in Spain. The team also beat the University Rugby League team at Rugby League! The team won 'Sports Team of the Year' at the Student's Union Awards for team of the year and had 3 players up for sportsman of the year, which was won by Michael Aitchison (President of Rugby Union).

We train and play at Lockwood park, not far from university, home of Huddersfield rugby club who are in National two division, on Monday nights at 7pm. We meet at the student union bar at 6.15 pm and travel down together.
We are looking to have another highly successful season starting in September 2011. If you are starting the university this year please do come training and meet a whole load of new people. Bring some mates along too! Whatever your standard we will look after you and make your Wednesday Student nights the best ever! We will have a load of events throughout the year so please watch this space!

If you are a student studying a course such as Journalism, Sports Journalism, Media studies, Photography, Events Planning, Graphic Design or any others and wish to get involved in a non-playing capacity then please get in contact. This will be excellent experience to add to your CV and help you get a job after Uni and obviously will add a massive amount to your social life!
