Hello and welcome to HUBA. We are one of the Universities biggest societies’ totalling seventy members last year, this year is the 10th Anniversary; a huge achievement and a very special year to everyone involved with the society and hopefully to the new members too.

HUBA is a Society constructed to meet new people whilst gaining regular breaks from university and work by trying new things for a budget price; that you will not be able to get outside of the society. Board and wetsuit hire, dinners, travel and accommodation is all included in the extremely cheap price.

We aim to enhance people’s university experience, whilst gaining a quality life experience, through keeping people active, partying, regular laughs and helping people gain confidence. We offer a range of activities including surfing, snowboarding, wakeboarding, skateboarding, skim-boarding, sand-boarding and more. Our members are immersed in a family spirit leading to friendships for life. HUBA allows people to build confidence and self-identity by including everyone in our activities; you do not need to be good at the activity to take part. We encourage students to try something new, most people in HUBA did not surf before joining the society, including the current president.
