► Basketball Club

The University of Huddersfield Basketball Team is a sporting club with upwards of 20 members, makin up 2 teams. The teams compete in the Northern Division of the BUCS (British University and College Sports) League. Playing on average 12 games each a season against local rivals such as Leeds and Bradford, we are looking to gain promotion this year.

We train twice per week and play on a Wednesday Afternoon (Don't worry, you won't have lectures!). We are also going to be running an Intra-mural tournament for people with an interest in Basketball but dont want to commit to a team. This will cost £10 for the year, per player. Teams will have a maximum squad of 5, playing in a 3v3 format.

The competitive teams have a membership fee of £50 for the year, this pay for qualified coaches, referees, insurance, travel, first aiders, equipment and much much more! Feel free to contact myself, Alex Blow, on u0770110@unimail.hud.ac.uk or 07817225010 for answers to any questions you may have.

We will be holding preliminary trials on Sunday 25th September at the university sports hall from 4-6pm. Don't worry if you can't make it, just let me know and we will arrange something else.
