This year you could be taking part in the programme!

We are looking for up to 3 students to take part in our summer music programme in 2012, providing lessons throughout the length of their stay and culminating in a final stage show for parents and local government officials.

Last year the programme received substantial press coverage in China and was an amazing experience for the Huddersfield students taking part! This year we aim to make the programme bigger and better than ever!

Applicants must be available throughout July and August and have a real passion for teaching music, particularly to children with limited English skills.

Representatives of the Huddersfield University Music Course and Fired Up will present more details about the programme on Tuesday the 14th of February at 1pm in the Shorehead building, Room SG09 (ground floor). Join us there armed with questions and find out all you need to know about what could be the opportunity of a life time!

Applications must be in before Wednesday 29th of February and interviews are to be held on the 13th of March.

“It was a total culture
shock, it was really
thrilling to experience
such a different lifestyle
to the one I'm used to
and has definitely added
to my desire to work,
teach and travel abroad.”
