► Appealing Against a Course Assessment Board’s Decision

Have you received your results but are unhappy with them?

Did you have problems during your exams which you believe have affected your results?

If so, you may want some advice about appealing. The Student Advisers at the Students' Union Advice and Information Centre can advise you on whether your grounds are realistic for requesting an appeal and guide you through the University appeals procedure.

You will need to be able to demonstrate that you have grounds for your appeal and it is important to note that it is not possible to appeal against the academic judgement of the Course Assessment Board.

You can find information on the University appeals procedure and how it works in the Students' Handbook of Regulations under section 4, Assessment Regulation 7 or by clicking here and also check out our appeals booklet.

Remember that there are deadlines for submitting an appeal so you must act quickly. The Advice and Information Centre can provide you with further information on this.
